EZULWINI – For the first time this year, the champion in the celebrated FNB Golf Challenge will don a winner’s jacket.

This was disclosed by First National Bank (FNB) Eswatini Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Thokozani ‘TK’ Dlamini. He was speaking after the success of the Pro-AM tournament at Ezulwini Golf and Country Club yesterday. This event is a curtain-raiser for the main tournament, which will run between today and Saturday.

Over the two days, professionals, clients, partners and friends came together not only to play golf, but to build relationships and connect.

“It has been absolutely beautiful to watch you engage with the challenge in this way and as FNB Eswatini, we appreciate the support and opportunity to strengthen our relationship.

“We are cognisant of your tight schedules and fully understand that taking a full day or two away from work for many of you is no small feat. Nonetheless, you chose to honour us with your presence, and we are eternally grateful,” said Dlamini.

In his address yesterday, Dlamini appreciated and acknowledged their partners who have contributed significantly in different ways towards hosting the challenge.

“Our partners at Old Mutual have graciously co-sponsored some of the prizes that cur Pro-AM winners are receiving this year. I am grateful to our hydration partners AD Enterprise and Oracle Insurance for keeping us hydrated with water as well as coffee and tea respectively, for the duration of the tournament.

The CEO further lauded their apparel partner Dixie’s for ensuring they looked stylish with  their T-shirts and caps.

“But this merchandise would not have reached you without the support of Eswatini Posts and Telecommunications Corporation (EPTC) who are our courier partners and ensured that your T-shirts and caps were delivered to your doorstep. In addition, EPTC is keeping us connected and online for the duration of the challenge.

“We thank our Ezulwini stakeholders, Ezulwini Municipality for the permit to host a challenge of this calibre in close proximity to our head office. Our Yello neighbours, MTN Eswatini, graciously sponsored practice sessions for all challenge golfers at the MTN Golf Club driving range,” he highlighted.
