Nomphilo Lebohang Faith Sigwane is a 23-year-old fabulous young lady born and raised in Manzini. Sigwane is a young woman with a passion for technology and fashion. With a background in Information Technology, Sigwane is determined to make a difference in the tech industry. But what sets her apart is her love for fashion and style, which she believes is an integral part of her personality.

Sigwane’s strength lies in her resilience and problem-solving skills, which she attributes to her upbringing in a big family. Her parents, who she describes as a great team, instilled in her, a unique perspective and support that has shaped her ambitions. Her fondest childhood memories include family vacations to Mozambique and visits to her mother’s side of the family in Lesotho. When asked about her weaknesses, Sigwane admits to being a perfectionist, but is learning to balance her attention to detail with the need to get things done. “Sometimes, done is better than perfect,” she said.

Sigwane’s passion for technology was sparked by her curiosity about how things work. As she grew older, she began to see technology as a powerful tool for connection, empowerment and creativity. She believes that the intersection of AI and creativity is one of the most exciting developments in the tech industry today.

Balancing her technical interests with her passion for fashion and style is not a challenge. She believes that technology can enhance her personal style and uses data analytics to spot emerging trends.

“For me, it’s about harmonising the intuitive, emotional side of fashion with the innovative, problem-solving mindset of tech,” she says.

Fashion plays a huge role in Sigwane’s life, allowing her to express herself without saying a word. She loves to experiment with different styles, from sharp tailoring to baggy jeans and sneakers.

Currently, she’s loving the revival of 90s minimalism mixed with modern edgy trends.

Sigwane believes that women can support and empower each other in the tech industry by sharing their stories and successes, mentoring one another and creating safe spaces to experiment and learn. She’s passionate about being part of a community that lifts each other up and invests in each other’s success.

When it comes to style inspirations, Sigwane draws inspiration from icons like Tracee Ellis Ross and Pamela Mtanga. She channels their vibe by mixing unexpected pieces and adding a modern twist to her outfits.

For Sgwane, confidence is the best accessory.

“Wear it proudly,” she advises. She’s currently working on building a website that showcases her products, including tokens of appreciation and charcuterie for corporate events.

In conclusion, Sigwane’s story is a testament to the power of embracing multiple passions and interests.

She encourages young women to be bold in chasing what they love and to let their interests blend together in their own unique way.
