NHLANGANO – Mhlatane High School’s Head girl, Sizolwethu Simelane, has been crowned Miss Teen Eswatini 2025/26.
The 17-year-old, originally from Pigg’s Peak in the Hhohho Region, was initially crowned Miss Teen Hhohho before securing the national title. The finals, facilitated by the Eswatini National Arts and Culture Council (ENCAC) and various sponsors, were held on Saturday at the Regional Education Office (REO) hall.
The other regional queens crowned were Sinomokuhle Dube (15) as Miss Teen Hhohho, Lungiswa Nkosi (17) as Miss Teen Lubombo, Nonhle Kunene (14) as Miss Teen Manzini and Temalungelo Msibi (18) as Miss Teen Shiselweni. These queens were selected from a total of 20 contestants across all four regions.
The three judges for the event were Mandisa Dlamini, Basil Magongo and Nokubusiswa Dlamini. The prizes won by Miss Teen Eswatini included a laptop, frontal hair, mobile phone, hairdryer and sneakers to name a few. While, the four other Queens were also gifted with mobile phones, an iPad, hairdryers and sneakers to name a few.
ENCAC Chief Executive Officer, Stanley Dlamini, extended his gratitude to the sponsors of the Miss Teen pageant.
He explained that the council decided to move the finals from Manzini and Mbabane to the Shiselweni Region. He stressed that when the queens return to their respective regions, an event will be organised to formally introduce them to the public.
Dlamini urged sponsors to use the beautiful pageant winners to promote their businesses, suggesting that their faces could be featured on promotional pamphlets.
He also appealed to parents to take care of their children, as they spend the majority of their time with them. He expressed thanks for the consistent support received from the Nhlangano Police Station, whenever they host events in the region and also thanked the Pigg’s Peak Town Council for travelling from Pigg’s Peak to celebrate with the beauty queens.
