LOBAMBA – The Chief Executive Officer of the EOCGA, Maxwell Jele, has achieved a remarkable feat in Switzerland, adding a fresh feather to his cap.
Jele attained a distinction in the Executive Masters in Sport Organisations Management programme, which he completed over a one-year period. His consistent effort throughout the course culminated in an impressive overall average of 83 per cent. He has now returned from Lausanne, Switzerland, after attending the final session of MEMOS XXVII.
The final session was dedicated to the presentation and defence of his dissertation, titled ‘The route to attaining the first Olympic medal for Eswatini’.
Jele expressed his gratitude to all the stakeholders who supported him on his journey.
He specifically acknowledged the Eswatini Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (EOCGA) Board and Olympic Solidarity for their financial and technical support. He also praised the 34 other ‘Memosians’ from around the world who undertook the programme with him.
The CEO conveyed his optimism about the future of sport in Eswatini. “Eswatini sports are heading for better days; the country will realise its first Olympic medal sooner rather than later,” he stated.
