MBABANE – The impasse between Mbabane Swallows factions has just escalated into court.

An application by the (Pty) Ltd is to be heard in court tomorrow. The Mbabane Swallows (Pty) Ltd, through M. Hlophe and Associates, submitted an application under a certificate of urgency, seeking to stop all the teams’ fixtures until the finalisation of an ongoing arbitration by Eswatini Football Association (EFA)

In the application, EFA is the third respondent, with the Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) being the second. Meanwhile, Swallows FC Acting President, Absalom Ngwenya is the first respondent.

Meanwhile, Mbabane Swallows F.C. (Pty) Ltd is the first applicant while Director, Wonder ‘Samba Jive’ Nhleko and team legend is the second applicant.

The (Pty) Ltd’s key prayer is an order interdicting the PLE from involving, participating in any football game, match or contest and/or inviting Mbabane Swallows Football Club to football competitions, games and/or activities, pending finalisation of arbitration of a dispute referred by the first applicant to the third respondent for arbitration under the auspices of the EFA.”

Swallows (Pty) Ltd wants PLE interdicted and restrained from communicating, engaging in discussions or dealing with the Ngwenya-led Management Committee (MC) in any football and related matters regarding or club, including, but not limited to the provision of financial assistance to the club.
