MBABANE — The playing schedule for the 2026 Nobuhle Junior Golf Series has officially been unveiled.
Nobuhle Dlamini, the Founder of the Nobuhle Dlamini Foundation, confirmed that a comprehensive year-long programme is now in place to support the development of young talent in Eswatini.
“We have finalised the dates and programmes for the entire season and are optimistic about the year ahead,” Dlamini stated. She expressed confidence that the league will provide a vital platform for young golfers to hone their skills and be empowered through the sport from an early age.
Reflecting on the success of the recent January edition, the foundation celebrated several standout performances on the course. Sisekelo Masuku led the field in the A Division Boys with an impressive 83 gross, while Kaylah Zwane dominated the A Division Girls, carding an 88 gross.
Dlamini noted that the December and January turnouts – which saw over 100 junior golfers – prove that the interest is there. “Our goal is for them to master the basics through consistent, monthly competition,” she added.
The tournament schedule is strategically aligned with the school calendar. In the early year term, the foundation looks forward to key fixtures such as February 28 and March 28.
As the season moves into the mid-year term, the winter series will be highlighted by the May 2 and June 27 rounds. The finale stretch of the year features a packed schedule, including the highly-anticipated August 29 and October 31 dates, leading up to the final prize-giving.
Consistent participation is essential, as players must accumulate points throughout the season to secure a spot in the prestigious Champ of Champs finale. Coach Meshack Zwane emphasised that the league’s philosophy focuses on discipline and consistency to develop well-rounded athletes.
