MBABANE – Eswatini Air and reigning league champions Nsingizini Hotspurs have concluded a strategic partnership in Manzini to bolster the club’s continental ambitions.
The agreement, which links the national airline with the Shiselweni-based side, is designed to support the club’s logistical requirements for Confederation of African Football (CAF) engagements. This comes five months after Hotspurs expanded their African visibility by launching a television programme on SuperSport.
Under the deal, Eswatini Air – operated by the Royal Eswatini National Airways Corporation (RENAC) – will gain exposure via the club’s digital and broadcast platforms. In return, Hotspurs benefit from streamlined travel for regional and continental fixtures. The airline currently services routes to Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town and Harare, with Lusaka expected to be added.
Ndumiso Shongwe, Eswatini Air General Manager, stated:
“Eswatini Air is proud to partner with Nsingizini Hotspurs in showcasing the spirit and talent of our beautiful kingdom. This collaboration goes beyond sport – it is a celebration of national pride, unity and the realisation of a shared vision to elevate Eswatini’s image at home and abroad.”
Hotspurs Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Banele Ngobe noted that the agreement aligns with global standards: “The partnership with Eswatini Air demonstrates the growth and professionalism of the football club. The collaboration is based on a winning combination and will reinforce Eswatini Air as a winning airline in Africa and beyond.”
