MBABANE – Eswatini Television recently hosted Prince Bandzile for a high-profile courtesy visit to discuss a shared vision for the nation’s creative industry.
During the engagement, the Prince met with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mlamuli Dlamini, to discuss the shared vision. Prince Bandzile spoke passionately about his dedication to promoting local music and indigenous instruments. He has already begun turning this vision into a reality through the establishment of his music stable, Sound Kitchen. The venture aims to bridge the gap between traditional Swati sounds and modern production.
Sound Kitchen has already achieved significant milestones in showcasing the kingdom’s rich cultural heritage. This includes the release of a visualiser and song titled ‘Giya’, which is currently available on YouTube. The Prince emphasised his commitment to nurturing local talent and ensuring that traditional musical elements are preserved for future generations.
In alignment with its mandate to promote local artists, Eswatini TV pledged its full support for the prince’s initiatives.
The station intends to feature his work across several existing programmes. Furthermore, the broadcaster has announced plans to produce a dedicated documentary highlighting the prince’s creative journey and the founding of Sound Kitchen.
