MBABANE – Kufeziwe Communications has officially confirmed that multi-award-winning South African Gospel powerhouse Dr Tumi is headed to Eswatini for an exclusive, full-band live performance at the Mbabane Alliance Church on July 5, 2026.
The highly-anticipated event marks the artist’s first performance in the kingdom in over six years, promising local Gospel enthusiasts a long-overdue, premium worship experience.
According to Kufeziwe Communications, the decision to bring Dr Tumi to Eswatini stems from a profound love for his music among local Gospel followers. Crucially, the July concert is specifically designed to offer a true live experience to fans who will be unable to travel to Johannesburg for his massive stadium production, The Gathering of Worshippers: 100 000 Hallelujahs, which is slated for FNB Stadium on May 30, 2026.
“We are bringing Dr Tumi on their door steps,” they said.
Rather than a scaled-back international appearance, organisers have emphasised that the Gospel star will be arriving with his entire live band to replicate the exact sonic depth and spiritual energy of his major South African recordings. Speaking on the inspiration behind the event, representatives from Kufeziwe Communications noted that hosting Dr Tumi directly drives the Kufeziwe Communications overarching calendar theme for this year: ‘A Year of Revival.’
