Rest is found in the cross

Share
When you pray and even after the prayer, you must continuously believe that on the cross, Jesus Christ paid for what you are petitioning God for failing which, God will not honour your petition.

Everything you need is found in the cross. When God commissioned me to preach the cross to every liSwati in 2020,

He made it clear to me that, central to the preaching of the cross is that, He blesses His children through their faith in the cross alone. Apart from the proceeds of God’s common grace, such as natural resources, general health and well-being, societal structures and the capacity for reason and creativity you receive everything else from Him when you exhibit faith in the cross alone.

At the core of answered prayer is Mark 11:24, which reads: “Therefore I say to you, what things soever ye desire, when you pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” This verse supports the truth that you cannot receive anything from God if you by-pass the cross. I am saying all this because today I have a message from the Lord Jesus Christ for all those out there, who are weary and carry heavy burdens.

The message for these people is: “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and you shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light” (Matthew 11:28-30). There are many emaSwati who fall into this category. The high suicide mortality rate is adequate proof that many emaSwati are weary and carry burdens spiritually, emotionally and physically.

If you are one of those who are weary and carry heavy burdens please accept this open invitation from Jesus Christ. Psychosocial support for your situation is temporary and superficial. Let me assure that you will only find genuine solace, peace and rest in Jesus Christ crucified only.

PROMISES

Most Christians know the verses quoted above, but, unfortunately, they do not know how to apply them to their lives, which explains why they do not enjoy the rest that Jesus Christ promises. There is only one way of coming to Jesus Christ, and that is the way of faith in the cross alone.

The cross is Jesus Christ in tandem with what He accomplished for humanity through His crucifixion. Through His crucifixion, Jesus Christ delivered mankind from sin, demonic oppression, sickness and poverty.

Taking the light and easy yoke of Jesus Christ simply means living by ceaselessly believing that on the cross, Jesus Christ paid in full for your deliverance from whatever challenge you are facing. If you do this faithfully, you will enter into His rest, which will be evidenced by spiritual, emotional and physical well-being.

Please do attend our service to unpack the cross further on August 30, 2025, in Manzini, at Khulani Bomake Centre, next to MITC. You can contact Apostle AB Vilane at 7912 7350 or 7612 7350.
