“First envision it then work towards it.” These words perfectly capture the entrepreneurial journey of Nkosinozwelo Dlamini (20) and her business partner Bongiwe Motsa, the young visionaries behind Scented Fantasy. What began as a simple dream to create captivating scents has grown into a premium fragrance and lifestyle brand redefining how people experience luxury, wellness and personal style.

Dream turned Into a Brand

Scented Fantasy specialises in artisanal perfumes, perfume oils, colognes, corporate hampers and fragrance installations. The founders’ goal is clear – to blend luxury, affordability and wellness into everyday living while building Eswatini’s leading fragrance and lifestyle brand capable of competing on a global stage.

“Our mission is to craft unique, high-quality fragrances and lifestyle products that bring joy, elegance and wellness to our clients while creating opportunities for empowerment and entrepreneurship in Eswatini,” says Dlamini.

From humble beginnings

The journey started on a small scale, selling perfume oils to family and friends. Through consistency, passion and customer loyalty, Scented Fantasy has expanded to offer full fragrance lines, lifestyle hampers and corporate gifting solutions. Today, young entrepreneurs are working to scale production, strengthen marketing and expand distribution to reach wider markets.

Leading with passion

Dlamini describes herself as a visionary and transformational leader who believes in empowering others and inspiring innovation. “I lead with passion, teamwork and gratitude. I celebrate small wins, encourage creativity and remind the team of our bigger purpose – to impact lives through scents and wellness,” she explains. This focus on leadership and customer-centricity is what drives their success. They consistently prioritise high-quality products, personalised experiences and continuous improvement to meet evolving customer needs.

Words of wisdom

Asked what advice she would give aspiring entrepreneurs, Dlamini says:

“Start small but dream big. Be prepared for challenges such as limited resources, competition and self-doubt but never let them stop you. With resilience, discipline and a clear vision, you can build something impactful.”

Journey of faith and mentorship

Faith and mentorship play a key role in her journey. “I always believed in my potential to build a brand that touches people’s lives. I may not be where I want to be yet, but I am proud of how far the journey has brought me with God on my side,” she says. She credits Majahonke Bhila, her mentor, for guiding her entrepreneurial path and highlights the inspirational work of Phetsa Dlamini, whose piece The Ten Secrets of an Exceptional Student (a book) continues to fuel her drive for success.

 Looking Ahead

With a passion for fragrances and a vision for empowerment, Dlamini and Motsa are determined to take Scented Fantasy beyond Eswatini’s borders. Their journey is proof that with creativity, hard work and belief in one’s vision, young entrepreneurs can turn simple ideas into lifestyle brands that inspire confidence and sophistication – one scent at a time.
