Faith is an asset of inestimable value to every believer. We need to understand that we are born again as children of God by faith to walk by faith. We also need to understand that we live in a kingdom where everything happens by faith and nothing happens without faith.

Faith can be defined as taking full responsibility in the light of scriptures, thereby committing the integrity of God to perform His word – John 2:2-5 (KJV): “And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.  And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, they have no wine.  Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.  His mother saith unto the servants, whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.”

God will only perform in your life what you believe Him. When your faith says yes, God can never say no. The kingdom of God is governed by the law of faith according to Romans 3:27 (KJV):Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: But by the law of faith. Bishop David O. Oyedepo the Founder and President of Living Faith Church aka Winners Chapel International defines faith as “A living force drawn from the living word to produce living proofs”.

One major attribute of every living thing is the capacity to grow. Anything that stops growing will start dying.  Therefore, faith is a living virtue with unlimited capacity for growth – 2 Thessalonians 1:3 (KJV) : “We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly and the charity of every one of you all towards each other abounded.”

It is faith failure that leads to failure in life and faith failure is the major reason for life failure of many children of God.

3 ways of building our faith:

We build or grow our faith by hearing the word – Romans 10:17 (KJV):So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God.”

By studying the word of God – 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV): “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

Acting in line with the word of God – James 1:22-23 (KJV):But be ye doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”

In conclusion, Faith is what determines the outcome of our lives. Let us build our faith to live a victorious life as children of God as the scripture declares according to 1 John 5:4 (KJV):“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: And this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.   Shalom.”
