As SBS moves closer to becoming a fully-fledged bank, following its provisional banking licence acquisition, the Sipatji Salary Account stands as a symbol of this exciting evolution, offering customers real-time convenience, value-packed features and rewarding opportunities to win amazing prizes.

SBS’ enhanced Sipatji Salary Account now offers complete banking satisfaction. It is a one-stop product which allows customers to receive their salaries and transact in real time. These transactions are now possible on digital platforms and across most financial institutions such as fintech and banks.

With the Sipatji Salary Account, customers can get access to the debit card, ePocket, banking app, cellphone banking, ATM services, funeral cover and loan.

SBS has rolled out its Sipatji Salary Account Campaign that offers an opportunity for emaSwati to have complete banking satisfaction. Customers are invited to evolve with the society as it prepares to convert into a bank after the acquisition of its provisional banking licence recently.

Customers who change from their existing salary account with other financial institutions to the SBS Sipatji Salary have a chance of winning amazing prizes as follows:

  • 1st prize – All expenses paid for MSC cruise return trip, Durban to Portuguese Islands
  • 2nd prize – Outdoor wooden table and beach umbrella
  • 3rd prize – Stepladder and wheelbarrow

Sipatji Account also offers a Loan

A key feature of the Sipatji Salary Account is the Sipatji Loan in which:

  • The loan limit has been increased from E350 000 to E500 000.
  • The minimum loan limit has been reduced from E5 000 to E3 000.
  • The repayment period increased from 5 to 7 years [60 to 84 months].

SBS Head of Distribution Channels Wesley Groening explains that Sipatji Account is packaged in a way that ensures complete value to customers, where they can get loan and transactional services conveniently.

‘The Sipatji Account Campaign aims at creating awareness about Sipatji Account and the financial solutions it presents. It further offers amazing incentives to those who will switch their salary accounts to the SBS, whereby they will get gifts when salary credits their SBS accounts and stands a chance to win amazing prizes.’

The society has a total of 11 branches, micro-branch, digital branch and 3 executive suites which are strategically situated around the country and is headquartered in Mbabane.
