Are you still struggling to keep up with your municipal rates payments?

Municipalities issue annual rates bills to property owners and for some homeowners, this can place pressure on their finances.

The Swaziland Building Society (SBS) continues to provide practical solutions to assist mortgage clients in settling their outstanding property rates in a convenient and manageable way.

According to Phindokuhle Dlamini, Senior Mortgages Officer, customers can submit their mortgage account number together with their current rates bill via email to mortgages@sbs.co.sz for processing. This initiative is designed to ease the financial burden and provide much-needed relief to homeowners.

Additional solutions available to mortgage clients include:

Municipal partnerships – SBS is an authorised payment channel for several town councils, including Manzini and Mbabane, enabling simple and secure non-cash payments.

Financial advice and support – The society provides guidance and tailored options to help homeowners manage property ownership costs and ongoing expenses such as rates.

Digital convenience – Customers can manage their accounts and make payments through the SBS App or visit any branch for personalised assistance.

Clients are encouraged to approach SBS for support and expert advice on managing their rates. The dedicated mortgage team remains committed to making the homeownership journey smoother and more affordable.
