MBABANE – South African DJ and producer Oscar Mbo delivered a memorable performance that kept revellers on their feet at The Xchange Lounge and Shisanyama.

The event, hosted by Carrot Tickets in partnership with Teeboss Plug Events, successfully blended football and entertainment, drawing football supporters and music lovers together for a day-long celebration that culminated in an energetic midnight performance by the award-winning DJ.

Festivities began at midday as resident DJs warmed up the crowd while patrons gathered to watch the highly anticipated FIFA World Cup final between Spain and Argentina on a giant screen. Once the final whistle blew, the focus shifted from football to music as excitement built for Oscar Mbo’s much-anticipated set.

Taking to the stage shortly after midnight, the renowned producer wasted no time igniting the atmosphere. Fans rushed to the dancefloor, waving phone flashlights, singing along and capturing the moment as he treated the packed venue to his signature blend of soulful House and Amapiano hits.

The electric atmosphere remained consistent throughout the night, with music lovers embracing every beat and turning the venue into one giant celebration.

The entertainment was further amplified by a strong line-up of local DJs, including Sgitha, Sbu De Drum DJ, Lady Zee, Zulu D, TK, Cnatra, Blaxk, Teesto and Tasha, who kept the energy high from the afternoon until the headline performance.

Speaking after his set, Oscar Mbo appreciated his local fans for their unwavering support, saying every visit to the kingdom feels special because of the warm reception he continues to receive.

“It is always a pleasure being in the kingdom as the people always show me love and support,” he said.

He added that sharing stages with local artists and performing before Eswatini audiences remains one of the biggest highlights of his career.

The event once again demonstrated the growing popularity of combining major sporting moments with live entertainment, creating an experience that allowed fans to celebrate the game long after the final whistle.
