MBABANE – Eswatini Cricket Association (ECA) has sent former national player Mancoba Jele to Kenya for an ICC Level 2 Coaching Course to boost local standards.
The four-day training programme is scheduled to run in the period November 5-8, 2026 in Nairobi. It will be facilitated by experienced International Cricket Council (ICC) Master Educators Christopher Cardoso and Jolene Campher.
Jele currently holds an ICC Level 1 Coaching Certificate alongside an ICC Level 1 Coach Tutors Course Licence. Securing the Level 2 qualification will bring him closer to qualifying for the ICC Level 2 Coach Tutors Course, enabling him to train other local instructors.
A veteran of the national setup, Jele represented Eswatini on the pitch for six years before transitioning into key coaching roles. He currently guides both the National Under-19 team and the Senior Women’s side.
According to an official statement released by the ECA, Jele’s participation forms a crucial step towards establishing a sustainable coaches’ education pathway and elevating the standard of cricket across Eswatini.
The association expressed its gratitude to the Eswatini Sport and Recreation Council (ESRC) for providing financial support towards Jele’s travel and participation, praising its ongoing commitment to sports development in the country.
