Mbabane — There has been a surge in bookings for comedians Gogo, Slwane, Hembe and Slim Bee after the ‘Lugodvo Kimi’ trend.
The comedians currently have six shows lined up, with two of them themed ‘Lugodvo Kimi’. On October 4, they have a show dubbed ‘Lugodvo Kimi Live Comic Theatre’ set to take place at KaMhlushwa TVET College in Nkomanzi, South Africa. They will also be part of the ‘Family Business Summit’ where they are also a sponsor on September 24. They will also participate in the Mlawula Campfire Festival which will begin on September 26.
They will also entertain attendees during the upcoming Eswatini Nazarene Central Fundraising Dinner which will take place on October 3 at Manzini Metropolitan Church. They are yet to announce their own show which will be hosted in the kingdom themed ‘Lugodvo Kimi’. The venue for this show is yet to be announced.
“By popular demand, we are happy to announce that ‘Lugodvo Kimi’ T-shirts will be available for sale from this coming Saturday, September 13 at Mbabane, at KaGogo Startups, opposite Pick and Pay Old Mall. They will also be available at Manzini, ikleri Store.
‘‘The price for these T-shirts will be from E250-E300 only. Orders from our South African community will be shipped via ‘The Courier Guy’ at a small additional fee after full confirmation of the order. Orders can be placed on +268 7969 6153,” reads a press release shared by the comedians.
The comedians have also released merchandise printed ‘Lugodvo Kimi’. According to them, the merchandise will be available from Saturday.
In a recent interview with the comedians, they revealed that the ‘Lugodvo Kimi’ concept is leveraging what little influence they have towards nation-building for Eswatini where they can all get along nicely.
