MBABANE – Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Pholile Shakantu officially opened ‘The Foyer’ at Eswatini Theatre Club alongside German Ambassador to Eswatini Andreas Peschke.
This was during a successful event hosted at the Eswatini Theatre Club on Monday evening. According to Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Pholile Shakantu, the new project aligns with the mission of creating spaces for creativity and artistic expression. “It was an honour to officially open ‘The Foyer’ at the Eswatini Theatre Club.
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the German Government, especially to His Excellency, Mr Andreas Peschke, the German Ambassador to Eswatini. Your invaluable support has made the renovation of the Foyer a reality. This project stands as a testament to the strong bilateral relations between Eswatini and Germany, showcasing how such partnerships can greatly enhance our cultural landscape.
“Together, we’re creating spaces for creativity and artistic expression that will enrich our community for years to come. Congratulations to Chairman Phila Dlamini and the Board for a job well done,” she said.
‘The Foyer’ is a beautiful performance space that will be home to ‘The Foyer Series’ of showcases and more. The facelift was one of the first interventions by the newly-appointed Board of Directors and was designed by Khulekani Msweli.
