MBABANE – Wandile Ntombini was crowned champion as the Mbabane Golf Club wrapped up the Ndzayo Match Play in flawless conditions this past weekend.
Ntombini topped the leaderboard to secure the title, finishing ahead of Themba Malaza in second place.
Sibusiso Ndzabandzaba claimed the third spot, capping off a day of high-quality golf that showcased the club’s finest talent.
In the ladies’ section, Sandra Ndzinisa delivered a commanding performance to take first place with 29 points. She was followed by Nolly Ginindza on 23 points, while Stops Ginindza finished third on 20 points.
Nolly Ginindza added to her trophy haul by claiming the Longest Drive honour.
Mbabane Golf Club captain, Gideon Mhlongo, described the tournament as a fitting conclusion to the competitive calendar, praising both the level of play and the camaraderie on display.
“It was a beautiful day and a brilliant way to wrap up our season,” said Mhlongo. “The standard of golf was impressive, and the support from our sponsors made this event truly special.”
The captain extended his gratitude to Ndzawo Plant Hire for their steadfast backing of the Match Play series, and also thanked Sibebe for their sponsorship in dressing the ladies’ field.
