Resilience, confidence and an unwavering belief in the power of culture define the woman known to many as ‘Phindy The Real Queen.’

Born and raised in South Africa, Phindy has cultivated a career that spans the diverse landscapes of acting, modelling, radio presenting and event coordination. Her journey is rooted in a deep connection to community, a trait she carries with her as she prepares to take on a lead role in one of the region’s most anticipated cultural gatherings.

Growing up, Phindy discovered a natural affinity for entertainment and leadership. Her background provided the foundation for a career built on the importance of self-belief and the ability to turn challenges into opportunities.

This mindset has propelled her from a young dreamer to a multifaceted professional who currently graces television screens on popular SABC 1 and e.tv productions such as ‘Uzalo’ and ‘Isitha’.

The transition into the world of entertainment was a deliberate move for Phindy, who sought to create opportunities not only for herself but for those around her. Her entrepreneurial spirit first manifested through modelling and acting, which eventually served as a springboard into public speaking and hosting high-profile events.

“My journey began with a strong desire to create opportunities,” she says. “Acting and modelling opened doors to radio presenting, where I developed my voice and confidence in communication. Event coordination became another passion, allowing me to manage successful gatherings that bring people together.”

Over the years, Phindy has solidified her brand as a sought-after Master of Ceremonies and media personality. Her achievements include building the ‘Phindy The Real Queen’ identity from the ground up and earning a reputation for excellence on reputable stages across the media landscape.

Despite her public persona, she remains grounded in her personal interests, noting that she is deeply passionate about mentoring others and, in a lighter moment, admits to a particular fondness for chicken feet.

The upcoming Makoti Festival slated for May 2, a celebration of tradition and womanhood, marks a significant milestone in her 2026 calendar. Phindy expresses a profound sense of pride in being part of the line-up, noting that she has long admired the festival for its cultural significance.

When the executive team of the Makoti Festival reached out to secure her services, Phindy viewed it as a recognition of her dedication to the arts. As the host, she promises to bring a high level of professionalism and energy to the proceedings.

Attendees can expect an engaging atmosphere designed to keep the crowd connected to the cultural heart of the event.

Regarding the much-anticipated ‘Burikiriki’ elements of the festival she is well known for with her late friend Moses, the host promises a vibrant experience.
