MBABANE – Eswatini National Provident Fund (ENPF) Chief Executive Officer Futhi Tembe has been named among Africa’s Top 100 Business Leaders for 2026.
This is a continental accolade that shines a spotlight on both one of the kingdom’s most influential executives and Eswatini’s growing profile in institutional leadership, social protection reform and digital innovation.
The recognition comes as Tembe leads a multibillion Emalangeni institution at the heart of Eswatini’s social protection system. ENPF’s asset base has grown beyond E7.14 billion, making it one of the kingdom’s largest institutional investors and a significant driver of economic activity across sectors, including property, healthcare, tourism, agriculture, infrastructure and financial services.
Under her leadership, the fund has accelerated digital transformation, strengthened governance standards and delivered robust returns for members, including the declaration of a 10 per cent interest rate during the 2024/25 financial year, while advancing one of the most ambitious pension reforms in the country’s history.
The honour will be conferred in Casablanca, Morocco, on June 18 during a gathering of leading executives, innovators and policymakers from across the continent.
The recognition is organised by Verve Management, an international business leadership platform based in Dubai, known for convening high level executive forums and recognising leaders who are delivering measurable impact within their organisations and industries.

A Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA) with a Master of Business Leadership Degree, Tembe has emerged as part of a new generation of African executives redefining institutional leadership in an increasingly digital economy.
Since taking the helm of ENPF, she has led an ambitious modernisation programme that repositioned the Fund among Eswatini’s most technologically progressive institutions.
ENPF introduced member self-service platforms, employer portals, e-compliance systems and mobile based services that have significantly improved accessibility, efficiency and transparency.
The modernisation drive has been accompanied by growing international recognition for ENPF’s governance standards, administrative systems and commitment to service excellence.
