IN today’s fast-paced world, having secure and seamless access to your money is more important than ever.
Whether you’re shopping online, travelling abroad or simply paying for your groceries, the right banking tools can make everyday transac¬tions easier and more efficient.
We take a closer look at the Swa¬ziland Building Society (SBS) debit card, which has been in existence since June 2021.
It is an internationally accepted debit card and part of the world¬wide card scheme association. It operates on the same common in¬ternational card platform alongside VISA and Mastercard.
According to SBS Manager, Digital Channels, Sandile Langa: “Our debit card has three products.Gold card which is at entry level, platinum card which is mid-tier and final¬ly our top-tier card which is the diamond card. The card products are differentiated to cater for our different customer segments.
“These cards allow for withdraw¬als at automated teller machines (ATM) supported by the interna¬tional card scheme association both locally and internationally.
“You can also utilise your SBS debit card to swipe at points of sale (POS) terminals to pay for fuel at filling stations and purchasing goods at retail stores, even when travelling. Your card is also enabled to make online pur¬chases (e-commerce).
“Our debit card is setup to allow the transaction cycle to be completed on a real-time-ba¬sis, allowing the customer to see the move¬ment of funds and the resulting balance immediately.”
Langa notes that “the debit card has become an integral part of our daily lives, whether you’re withdrawing cash from an ATM, swiping for goods at the gro¬cery store or tapping to pay for movie tickets. Your debit card offers a simple, conven¬ient and secure way to access your money. You can get the debit card at any SBS branch near you and experience hassle-free transacting.”
All SBS customers who have a trans¬actional or savings account (terms and conditions apply) qualify for the debit card. To get more information on this call us on 2404 1313 or send a WhatsApp text on 7808 9910
