Graduation may be a small word in the world of early learning, but for little children it is a moment that feels as grand as a royal occasion.
On Saturday, New Dawn Preschool turned its school premises into a colourful celebration of achievement, joy and pride, as parents and guardians gathered to witness their little ones take one of the most important early steps in their education journey.
The event followed a programme that showcased just how much the learners have grown. Under Bible skills, the children presented Christmas Carols, Bible verses and a poem, which they were assisted by their teachers, then followed an entertaining play by the children that left the parents entertained.
Academic activities saw the different classes present exciting topics. Class 5B explored colours, Class 5A impressed with children’s rights, Grade 0C tackled bullying, Grade 0B presented wild animals and Grade 0A confidently showcased reading.
The entertainment had the audience cheering during drum majorettes performance, umkosho, sibhaca and ummiso. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and joy as parents watched their children display skills and confidence beyond their years.
Guest speaker Make Bhembe, Town Zone Leader, expressed gratitude for having New Dawn Preschool within the town zone, noting that it is a well-developed school that offers quality education.
She highlighted that such a foundation helps the community raise responsible future citizens.
She also encouraged parents to continue nurturing the talents and skills that were clearly evident in the children during the performances.
The School Director Babe Mabuza extended heartfelt appreciation to the teachers for their dedication and hard work in shaping learners from the youngest to the oldest.
He thanked parents for their strong collaboration, which has helped the school grow and provide a suitable learning environment. He further urged parents to consider Jabulile School for primary education, as it continues the strong foundation started at New Dawn.
The joyous event concluded with the awarding of certificates and a photo session. New Dawn Preschool is now open for enrolment for 2026 for children aged three to six years, from preschool to Grade 0. Application forms may be collected from the school. For enquiries contact 3454 0069.
