Dumsani Mnyakeni was always drawn to creative spaces. As a child, he found joy in colours, textures and putting pieces together in his own unique way, even if it was just mixing clothes from his school wardrobe with a touch of flair. Coming from a humble background, style for Mnyakeni was not about luxury but about expression, which helped shape his eye for detail and originality.

“Growing up, I was always drawn to creative spaces. As a child, I found joy in colors, textures and putting pieces together in my own unique way even if it was just mixing clothes from my school wardrobe with a touch of flair,” he said.

Thabang Molaba from South Africa is a significant source of inspiration for him. Molaba’s style is effortlessly fresh, clean, confident and bold. Mnyakeni particularly admires how Molaba blends urban fashion with an African edge, a characteristic he strives to reflect in his own looks.

One of Mnyakeni’s biggest passions is flying drones and capturing the stunning views of his country. Eswatini boasts some of the most beautiful landscapes and he enjoys showcasing that beauty through his lens. He is also a keen fan of snooker, appreciating it as a game of focus and precision.

Consistency is key to this photography approach. He ensures that every piece he wears or posts reflects his personality, simple, sharp and grounded in nature. His go-to colours, such as green and white, help keep his brand clean and refreshing, much like the outdoors he loves to capture with his drone. He remains intentional with his choices, ensuring his brand always tells his story.

Ambitious as he is, Mnyakeni keeps an eye on international fashion through digital platforms and South African influencers, but always makes trends his own. Whether it is oversized clothes, neutral layering or sneaker culture, he adapts what is trending to fit his aesthetic. He does not just follow fashion, he translates it to match his lifestyle, palette and roots.
