MBABANE – Talk about a strong comeback.
The champions of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) Football League, Linafoot, Les Aigles du Congo’s boss is reportedly interested in investing E5 million into Manzini Wanderers this season.
Sources suggest that Les Aigles du Congo’s President Vidiye Tshipanda Tshimanga, who recently secured their first-ever league title, is keen to invest in a team with a strong fan base.
It is believed that the DRC club’s boss, who also owns a mining company, has been scouting for an investment opportunity in the southern African region.
These reports were confirmed by International Federation of Association Football (FIFA)-accredited players’ agent Alimasi Bin ‘Adebayor’ Saleh, who revealed he was the one pushing the deal on behalf of Wanderers after Tshimanga expressed an interest in investing in a local team.
“I am still in talks with him, and he is willing to invest E5 million to help Wanderers this season. I have convinced him that Eswatini is a great place for him to come and invest,” Saleh said.
The towering agent disclosed that the reason he wants Tshimanga to invest in the maroon and white hub giants is because they form part of the ‘Big 3’ clubs in the local football landscape.
