MBABANE – Over 1 000 nominations have been recorded as part of the National Gospel Awards.
This was revealed by National Gospel Music Awards (NGMA) Spokesperson Nathi Makhabane during an interview with this publication. “The deadline was on August 12 and we said that it would not be extended. When doing our assessment of the categories and nominations, we found that we had 1 114 nominations in total,” Makhabane said.
He further revealed their plans for this week, stating they will be reviewing the nominations. “Currently, we are examining the nominations just to see if the artists who have been nominated were selected with their albums or songs that are relevant to each category. After concluding this exercise, we will officially announce the nominees who have been evaluated, according to the awards’ criteria,” he explained.
