MBABANE – A truly historic agreement has been sealed.

UFS International has clinched a landmark partnership with Spanish football giants Real Betis, confirming the establishment of the club’s first-ever official academy in the country.

The news, initially revealed by a source close to the Mhlambanyatsi-based institution, marks a major turning point for youth development in Eswatini.

The source stated that the deal between UFS and Real Betis will introduce world-class football development standards, fundamentally changing the landscape for young athletes of both genders.

“The UFS has made a groundbreaking partnership with a Spanish club, Real Betis, that will introduce international standards into the country,” the source commented. This publication is in possession of a statement released through the office of the UFS International Director of Sports and Culture, Tinavo Mushavi, which confirms the groundbreaking collaboration. The statement reads: “UFS International is proud to announce a historic partnership with Real Betis Football Club, marking the establishment of the first-ever Real Betis Academy in the country.”

The former Sidwashini United head coach confirmed in the statement that the academy will be based at UFS International at Mhlambanyatsi and will provide a world-class football development pathway for boys and girls aged between four and 20 years.
