MBABANE – The puzzle is finally complete.

The last remaining pieces of the MulaSport Eswatini Tertiary Institutions Sports Association (ETISA) Games puzzle fell into place this past weekend as the outstanding fixtures — played mostly at the University of Eswatini (UNESWA) Kwaluseni Campus — confirmed the runners-up positions across all divisions.

These included Men’s Football, Netball, Men’s and Ladies’ Volleyball and Pool.

Institutions were pushed into a tense Saturday run-off to secure the remaining berths in the quarter-finals.

In Men’s Football, Luyengo Campus sealed their place in emphatic fashion, thumping the Southern Africa Nazarene University (SANU) Health Campus 5–0 to clinch the runners-up slot.

In Netball, SANU Health Campus edged Luyengo 28–23 to finish top, with Luyengo settling for second and also progressing to the last eight.

In Men’s Volleyball, Luyengo swept aside SANU Health Campus 2–0 to grab second place and their ticket to the quarter-finals.

In the Ladies’ Volleyball category, the Vocational Training and Industrial Maintenance (VOCTIM) side and Luyengo Campus both punched their passports to the next round. The same pairing — VOCTIM and Luyengo Campus — also advanced in Pool after strong weekend showings.

ETISA Secretary Sibusiso Dlamini confirmed that the group stage is now officially wrapped, expressing gratitude to all institutions for their cooperation.

“The games were competitive, the standard was high and qualifying for the knock-out stages demanded real grit and hard work,” he said. “The knock-out phase begins in mid-January and we urge students to continue showing up and rallying behind their teams.”

Dlamini also hailed the  sponsor MulaSport, noting this year’s E300 000 backing – an increase of E50 000 from last year’s E250 000 – as a sign of growing confidence in the games.
