MBABANE – Former Young Buffaloes marksman Phiwayinkhosi ‘S’lwabelwabe’ Dlamini says he is targeting scoring a minimum of 10 goals for Mbabane Swallows.

Dlamini, whose retirement was announced by Buffaloes earlier this season, has dramatically resurfaced at the ‘Birds’ nest. The veteran striker was part of the capital city giants in yesterday morning’s training session and appears to have been handed the number 19 jersey.

‘Birds’ confirmed they are currently racing against the clock to formalise his registration following the opening of the second transfer window yesterday. If successful, Dlamini will be available for selection for Sunday’s high-stakes derby.

‘S’lwabelwabe’ expressed his gratitude to the team for poaching him out of retirement and identifying him as one player who could boost their performance. He felt obliged to deliver, as per expectations and said he would love to score 10 goals for the team. Last season, the striker found the net 11 times for the army side, finishing among the top five scorers in the MTN Premier League.

“If given the nod on Sunday, I aim to make an immediate impact, though I admit, the Mbabane derby is a different beast compared to the security forces derbies I am used to,” Dlamini said.
