Studio time for ENCAC regional activation winners

MBABANE – The Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture (ENCAC) hosted a vibrant talent search this past Saturday at Mkhiweni Constituency in Luve.

This in a bid to discover and nurture emerging musical and poetic talent from grassroots communities across the kingdom. Over 15 aspiring artists attended the event, eager to showcase their craft and secure a chance to record at the state-of-the art, Manzini Arts Studio.

Organised as part of ENCAC’s commitment to fostering young creatives, the talent search provided a platform for local musicians and poets to demonstrate their passion. The event also marked the launch of a new programme designed to provide artists with the tools and exposure necessary to elevate their careers.

The primary goal of the event was to identify talented grassroots musicians and poets who possess the potential to make a meaningful impact in the local arts scene.

ENCAC will select artists who will be given the chance to record their work at the newly established Manzini Arts Studio, a facility equipped to support the growth of Eswatini’s artistic talents.

During the event, over 15 musicians and poets performed, showcasing a diverse range of styles and themes. The performances were characterised by originality, passion, and a deep connection to their cultural roots.

The primary goal was to identify grassroots performers with the potential to make a meaningful impact on the local arts scene.
