Your weekly dose of practical, work-friendly tech advice:

1. Master your shortcuts
Stop wasting clicks! Learn basic keyboard shortcuts like Ctrl + C (copy), Ctrl + V (paste), and Ctrl + Z (undo). For Mac users, it’s Command + C/V/Z. These small tricks save time and keep your workflow smooth.

2. Don’t ignore software updates
We get it—they’re annoying. But delaying system and software updates puts your device at risk of malware and slows down performance. Set updates to run overnight or during lunch breaks.

3. Use the ‘Schedule Send’ Feature
Working late? Don’t clog colleagues’ inboxes at odd hours. Tools like Gmail, Outlook and Teams allow you to schedule emails and messages for the next morning. It’s professional and polite.4. Back up your work, automatically
Set up cloud syncing (like Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox) so your work is always saved, even if your device crashes or gets stolen. No more panic when the power goes out.

5. Clear your digital clutter
Too many open tabs? Save articles or sites using a tool like Pocket or browser bookmarks and close the rest. It reduces memory load and boosts your device’s speed.

7. Separate work and personal browsing
Create a separate browser profile for work (Chrome, Firefox or Edge). This keeps bookmarks, passwords and history tidy—and keeps you focused when it counts.
