Imbuyiselo Academy continues to raise the bar in academic excellence after its learners achieved impressive distinctions and merits in their International Examination Board (IEB) examinations.

The strong performance is a proud moment for the school and the wider Siteki community, affirming Imbuyiselo’s position as a centre of academic rigor and global-minded learning.

Established in 2007, in Siteki, Imbuyiselo Academy has grown steadily over the years, earning a reputation for discipline, quality teaching and academic focus. It remains the only institution on the Siteki plateau offering the International IEB curriculum, a globally recognised programme that prepares learners for higher education both locally and internationally.

This curriculum is designed to nurture critical thinkers, problem–solvers and independent learners – skills that are essential in today’s fast-changing world.

The IEB curriculum differs from traditional examination systems by placing strong emphasis on understanding, analysis and application of knowledge rather than rote learning. Learners are encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas deeply and engage meaningfully with content across subjects. As a result, graduates of the system are well equipped for the demands of university life and are accepted by universities around the world, opening doors to global academic and career opportunities.

The recent distinctions and merits achieved by Imbuyiselo learners are a reflection of consistent hard work, effective teaching strategies and a supportive learning environment.

These results also highlight the school’s commitment to maintaining high standards, while ensuring learners are challenged, supported and inspired to reach their full potential.

Beyond academics, Imbuyiselo Academy places importance on holistic development. The school focuses on shaping confident, disciplined and responsible young people who are prepared not only for examinations, but for life beyond the classroom. Small class sizes, dedicated educators and a culture of accountability contribute to an environment where learners are encouraged to aim high and believe in their abilities.

School leadership described the results as a collective achievement and a motivation to keep pushing boundaries. The success, they noted, is not accidental, but the outcome of years of deliberate investment in quality education and learner development.

As Imbuyiselo Academy celebrates this milestone, it continues to live up to its vision of producing globally competitive learners rooted in strong values.

With each academic achievement, the school reinforces its message to learners: Excellence is possible and the sky is only the beginning.
