The Premier League of Eswatini have got a relief in their dragging legal battle against Manzini Wanderers. The football organisation has been granted an interdict stopping the hub giants from garnishing their accounts. The two parties appeared before High Court Judge John Magagula on Wednesday over their legal costs wrangle estimated at E600 000. The interdict is pending the outcome of the Supreme Court review on the matter.

The garnishee halted the PLE operations such as the pending referee’s allowances amounting to E150 000. Magagula replaced Judge Mumcy Dlamini who recently recused herself from the matter. Wanderers were recently reinstated as a Premier League team after winning the legal battle over their status against the PLE. PLE lawyer Meluleki Ndlangamandla with Wanderers legal team member Mduduzi 'Tsotsi' Mabila and laywer Sabela Dlamini.

The 'Weslians' successfully challenged the protest of Denver Sundowns Nigerian defender Jimoh Moses. Moses was found guilty of playing without a valid work permit during the last match of 2023/24 of the MTN Premier League against Wanderers on May 19, 2024, at Somhlolo National Stadium as per a ruling from Judge Dlamini. The hub giants recently requested the PLE to facilitate a meeting between them and the Eswatini Football Association (EFA) in a bid to resolve the current boardroom squabble. PLE Board of Governors recently called for the suspension of Wanderers for bringing football into disrepute during their recent meeting held at Sigwaca House.
