MBABANE – Eswatini Biggest Braai event will yet again equip emaSwati with knowledge from the Khoisan group which is set to hit the ground running today.
This was confirmed by Philani Maswati Charity Organisation Chairman Lutfo Dlamini. “As we witnessed at last year’s event, the group will be here again to teach young school children about their way of life at the Eswatini National Museum. We have a very busy and hectic schedule with our visitors,” he said.
The Khoisan people hold a special place in the broader narrative of African identity. As some of the earliest inhabitants of the continent, they represent a vital link to humanity’s ancient past. Their deep connection to the land, their unique languages and their rich cultural traditions offer insights into what life was like for early human societies.
The Khoisan are among the most ancient cultural groups in the world, with a history stretching back tens of thousands of years. Comprising both the Khoikhoi (pastoralists) and the San (hunter-gatherers), they represent Africa’s first inhabitants, whose legacy is woven into the very fabric of the continent. The Khoisan people trace their lineage back to some of the earliest human populations.
