MBABANE – The Eswatini International Trade Fair (EITF) has received a boost, with Jenny Internet confirming an expanded sponsorship of E483 331.67.

This will provide reliable connectivity for the duration of the exhibition.

The sponsorship, which nearly doubles last year’s E250 000 contribution, will ensure that exhibitors, visitors and organisers alike benefit from fast and secure internet access across the trade fair grounds.

For the first time, the connectivity will also extend to the stadium, the venue of the Trade Fair Cup, which is sponsored by 8Bet.

The 2025 EITF will take place from August 30 to September 8, at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre in Manzini.

Speaking at the sponsorship launch yesterday, Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Hanalora Strydom, expressed appreciation to Jenny Internet for reaffirming its partnership with the EITF and for increasing its investment this year.

“Last year, Jenny Internet took a bold step into this arena and with that we not only spoke digital connectivity, but lived it,” she said.

“Today, the EITF reaffirms and applauds your commitment with even greater energy and deeper appreciation.”

Strydom noted that the internet connectivity would be instrumental in supporting this year’s theme, ‘Business Meets Social Impact’, and would contribute directly to improving the overall experience of participants at the fair.

“We believe Wi-Fi connectivity and the ease it provides to visitors and exhibitors alike will add value to the fair as a collective,” she continued.

“The trade fair is a hub of commerce, innovation as well as opportunity and by integrating into this ecosystem, we are unlocking new avenues for entrepreneurship, tourism and youth development.”

Strydom added that EIPA expects a smooth and successful 10-day exhibition supported by the enhanced infrastructure:

“We foresee a smooth and successful 10-day period, where the synergy between business and socialising will be more visible than ever. We are not just investing in events—we are investing in people, potential and progress.

Let us make this second edition even more impactful, more inclusive and more unforgettable.”

Delivering remarks on behalf of Jenny Internet, the company’s Key Account Manager, Mkhululi Maziya, said the sponsorship demonstrates Jenny Internet’s belief in the value of the trade fair as a national platform for growth.

“We are committing internet connectivity valued at E483 331.67 to power the duration of the trade fair,” he said.

“This year, we are also proud to introduce a new addition; connectivity for the stadium, where the Trade Fair Cup will be hosted.

“This marks an expansion of our support, reinforcing our belief that connectivity enhances every aspect of the trade fair—from trade and networking to entertainment and community building.”

Maziya pointed out that as commerce becomes increasingly digital, access to reliable connectivity is no longer a luxury, but a necessity.
