MBABANE – The Eswatini-South Africa acting pipeline is flowing once again, this time putting a spotlight on a talent hailing from the streets of Msunduza.
Actor Nqaba Tsela is set to make his debut on the popular South African drama series, ‘Isitha’: The Enemy, in the role of ‘Vacu’.
The episode introducing Tsela’s character aired on Monday, November 3, 2025at 9:30pm on e.tv.
‘Vacu’ on ‘Isitha’ refers to the new character played by this local actor, who has replaced Antony ‘Zuka’ Ntjalintjali in the role of ‘Vacu’ in the show. The character ‘Vacu’ is a man of few words, characterised by his dangerous intentions.
His true motivations, whether loyalty or ambition, are part of the intrigue of the character. Thembinkosi Mthethwa from ‘Ekhaya’ series was shortlisted for the same role but he was not available.
Tsela, whose roots in the Msunduza township are a source of local pride, is expected to bring a fresh dynamic to ‘Isitha’s already complex web of family feuds, betrayal and dark secrets.
His introduction comes at a time when the show continues to be a staple in the prime-time line-up, keeping audiences glued to their screens with its intense drama. Tsela has appeared on the ‘Ekhaya’ series locally.
This latest casting shows the increasing visibility of Eswatini-born talent in regional television, a trend that continues to inspire aspiring performers across the kingdom.
