MBABANE – The 2026 One Billion Rising Eswatini Festival has officially expanded its star-studded roster, confirming that multi-award-winning Gospel sensation Linda Dlamini will join the line-up for the landmark event at the University of Eswatini (UNESWA), Kwaluseni Campus.
The festival, scheduled for January 31, 2026, serves as the centrepiece for the local chapter of the global movement to end violence against women and girls. Dlamini’s addition brings a powerful spiritual dimension to an already diverse line-up, bridging the gap between faith-based advocacy and social activism.
Linda Dlamini, known for his soul-stirring hits such as ‘Phathi’gama Lika Jesu’ and his recent live recording at The Luke Commission, is more than just a musical addition. Growing up in the Ka-Khoza community of Manzini, Dlamini has long been a vocal advocate for youth empowerment and community building.
In an interview Dlamini mentioned that 2026 is a busy year for him.”I am taking all events and delivering the best this year,” he said. Dlamini has also received an international booking for the Tri-Nations Gospel Music Concert slated for April 3, 2026.
Operating under the global theme ‘Rising for our Bodies, Our Earth, Our Future,’ the 2026 festival aims to address the escalating rates of femicide and GBV in the Kingdom. The move to the UNESWA Kwaluseni Campus follows a strategic partnership intended to engage the youth and academic community in the Rise for Freedom campaign.
Linda Dlamini is joining a line-up of local artists including Nothando Hlophe, KrTC, Gcina Masuku, DJ Lady Zee, Msimisi Sithole, Dzeli The Poet and many other artists, all promising to deliver best performances during the event.
