MBABANE – The Royal Signature Expo delivered an exceptional opening day at the International Convention Centre (ICC) on Saturday, setting a new benchmark for luxury exhibitions in Eswatini and the broader region.

Carefully curated as a premium, invitation-only platform, the expo brought together an exclusive mix of global luxury brands, leading African enterprises and a selection of local companies already demonstrating excellence on the international stage.

The deliberate positioning of the event as a high-end experience was evident from the outset, with every detail reflecting sophistication, exclusivity and global appeal.

The exhibition floor transformed into a showcase of opulence, with some of the world’s most prestigious automotive brands drawing significant attention. Among the standout displays were:

  • Rolls-Royce Ghost
  • Aston Martin
  • Lamborghini Urus
  • Mercedes-Maybach
  • McLaren
  • Rolls-Royce Cullinan.

These vehicles, synonymous with status, performance and craftsmanship, attracted a steady stream of invited guests, many of whom took time to explore the intricate detailing and engineering excellence behind each model.

Beyond automotive excellence, the expo also featured an impressive collection of high-end jewellery and fashion pieces.

…local brands alongside global heavyweights

EZULWINI – Local brands held their own alongside global heavyweights, reinforcing the strength and potential of Eswatini’s homegrown enterprises.

Companies such as Swati Secrets, Imbali Gin, Ngwenya Glass and Eswatini Green Chert were prominently featured, drawing admiration for their authenticity, craftsmanship and commitment to quality.

Swati Secrets, known for its natural marula-based beauty products, attracted interest from international visitors seeking organic and sustainably produced goods.

Imbali Gin offered a distinctly local flavour, blending premium distillation techniques with indigenous botanicals, while Ngwenya Glass continued to impress with its handcrafted glass products that have already gained recognition in export markets.  Eswatini Green Chert also stood out for its unique stone products, further showcasing the diversity of local innovation. Adding to the prestige of the event, His Majesty King Mswati III toured the exhibition alongside invited guests, engaging with exhibitors and taking time to appreciate the craftsmanship on display.  During the tour, His Majesty and his guests were seen marvelling at the various displays, interacting with brand representatives and gaining insights into the products and services on offer. Providing insight into the broader vision of the expo, S’thofeni Ginindza from African Alliance, noted that while the impact of the expo may initially be viewed at a macro level, its real value will unfold over time.

“The true benefits will be felt as local businesses strengthen, as new opportunities are created and as Eswatini continues to grow economically,” said Ginindza. “These kinds of platforms open doors that may not be immediately visible, but are critical for long-term development.”

Business leaders and exhibitors expressed satisfaction with the quality of engagement on the first day, noting that the invitation-only model ensured meaningful interactions and serious business conversations.  Unlike traditional exhibitions that focus on high foot traffic, the Royal Signature Expo prioritised exclusivity and targeted networking, creating an environment conducive to high-value deals and long-term collaborations.
