An exciting new music showcase promises vibrant performances, cross-border collaboration and a powerful celebration of local talent and cultural unity.

A fresh wave of musical energy is set to sweep through the local entertainment scene as “Young Zesh and Friends” prepares to deliver what organisers describe as more than just a show, but a full cultural experience.

Speaking on behalf of the organising team, the CEO of Mabonwa Abulawe Records, Young Zesh highlighted that the event has been carefully curated to reflect both artistic growth and unity within the industry.

He emphasised that the showcase is not merely about entertainment, but about creating a lasting impression that resonates with audiences beyond the night itself.

“This event is more than just a performance platform, it is an experience we are putting together for the culture,” he said. “We want fans to feel the energy, to connect with the music and to see the vision we are building.”

The event promises high energy performances, strong live stage presence, and a seamless blend of local and international influences.

A major highlight is the inclusion of South African artist Mfana Ka Gogo, whose presence signals a deliberate effort to bridge sounds across borders and introduce audiences to a richer musical fusion.

According to Young Zesh, bringing in regional talent is part of a broader strategy to elevate the local scene. “It is about giving the audience something fresh and memorable. That fusion of sounds and vibes across borders is what makes this event special,” he explained.

However, the spotlight will not rest on one act alone. The lineup also features a diverse range of local artists, including Cool Drop, Thaifo Son, Lesia Musiq, The Dee, CuezyODJ and DH Spinner.

Each performer has been selected to contribute to a well-rounded showcase that reflects the current state of the music scene. “It is not just about one headline act,” he added.

“This is a full showcase of what the scene has to offer right now. We want to celebrate our talent and give artists a platform to express themselves.”

The event is being organised under Mabonwa Abulawe Records, a label that is positioning itself as more than just a music company. Young Zesh stressed that the initiative represents a collective effort aimed at building a sustainable movement within the industry.

He further added that they are creating opportunities and platforms for both upcoming and established acts. It is about growth, collaboration and building something that lasts.

With its strong lineup, cross-border appeal, and focus on unity, ‘Young Zesh and Friends’ is shaping up to be a significant moment for the local entertainment calendar.

Fans can expect an atmosphere filled with excitement, connection and a shared appreciation for music.
