The Ubombo Mountain Hike is on! It’s time to shake off the dust from your hiking boots and make a difference with Ubombo Sugar Limited on this hike– ‘Changing Lives, One Community at a Time.’
Explore an Explore an interesting trail From the serene sugar plantations to the trying terrains; each step will be a test of your physical capabilities and give you a sense of achievement. This time around, it is not just about testing your fitness, but a chance to explore a new trail. But don’t be fooled, this trail is no walk in the park! Slowly picking up elevation, the trail snakes through Mkhalamfene Mountain and leads you to the Lubombo Mountains with an awesome view. 

Re-ignite passion for adventure Now some may say, argh but it’s cold. Cold, what is that? True hikers don’t let a little winter chill or scorching summer heat deter them. Instead, reignite that fiery passion for adventure, regain your ambition and brave the weather, give into that itch the hiking bug left behind. And guess what? It seems the gods are with you because this hike is in a region with warm temperatures. 

For the good of the community The goal is to raise funds to serve our neighbouring communities, especially underprivileged and disadvantaged communities and children, thereby ‘Changing Lives, This hike has no age restrictions. (R) If you happen to get lost, don’t worry much it’s part of the adventure.
One Community at a Time.’To enjoy it, carry the following:

  • Sun hat
  • Wear breathable clothes
  • Carry at least
  • 1 litre water

As we challenge ourselves to overcome the challenging terrain and push our limits, we discover strengths we never knew we possessed. Attended by multitudes of part icipants, whose number is estimated to be around 3 000 people, the hiking expedition set to raise funds to address challenges faced by underprivileged and vulnerable communities. Through this initiative, we discover our resilience and determination. Thumbs up to you for joining the hike and ‘Changing Lives, One Community at a Time’. Grab your squad and join the hike.
