As the Umhlanga weekend gets underway, Swaziland Building Society (SBS) encourages customers to take full advantage of its digital banking platforms for safe, convenient and efficient transactions.
Instead of visiting a branch to perform transactions, customers can save time by using the SBS digital channels, including USSD mobile banking (*800#), SBS Mobile App and Online Banking.
This makes it easy and convenient to manage the finances from anywhere and anytime. Sandile Langa, SBS Manager for Digital Channels, highlighted the benefits. “SBS mobile banking is simply banking made easy. It allows you to pay your water bill, buy electricity, airtime and data bundles right from the comfort of your home. You can also send money to your beneficiaries through EFT and virtually via ePocket.”
With the recently launched Eswatini Payment Switch (EPS), you can now send and receive, in near real-time, EFT payments between SBS and the following participants:
- Eswatini Bank
- Eswatini Bank Sharesha
- eMali
- Instacash
- Eswatini MTN MoMo
- First National Bank
- Standard Bank
- UNAYO
To enhance accessibility and convenience, SBS has expanded its ATM network across the country. Deposit ATMs have strategically been deployed around the country so customers can deposit their cash with ease, even when the branch is closed.
To keep their cash safe from theft, Langa encourages customers to use their debit cards as much as possible instead of carrying cash. Customers can also use their debit cards to swipe at till-points locally or when travelling. “Our debit card makes daily transactions simple, secure and convenient,” says Langa. “It’s available at your nearest SBS branch.”
He also stressed the importance of keeping one’s banking details confidential. “Umhlanga holidays are usually characterised by a spike in fraudulent activity. We appeal to our customers to be vigilant and ensure that they keep their funds safe by never divulging their personal banking details to anyone.”
Make the most of your Umhlanga holiday by banking smart with SBS Digital Channels.
