MBABANE – Freehub Cycling Club has named a 17-member team for the Alzu Tour de Farm, taking place this morning, Saturday, November 7, 2026.

The club will be represented by a sizeable contingent at the cycling festival, with the selected riders expected to fly its flag across various race categories.

The team comprises Mduduzi Kaudi, Njabulo Vilane, Alex Mdluli, Mxolisi Shongwe, Gcebile Tsabedze, Gcinaphi Ndlovu, Leto Mkhonta, Lindo Tsabedze, Msimisi Matsebula, Thando Dlamini, Mthokozisi Vilane, Zakithi Nhleko, Thandeka Vilane, Shirley Saulus, Wayne Levendale, Mthunzi Tsabedze and Felix Gamedze.

The squad announcement comes barely a week after the club successfully hosted the Freehub Lowveld Classic at Mhlume Club on October 31.

The event, which was part of the club’s flagship initiatives, brought together competitive and recreational cyclists, with organisers aiming to make the sport accessible to riders of all ages and abilities.

The competition featured several distances, including 5km, 30km, 50km, 90km and 120km races, alongside mountain biking.

The Lowveld Classic was also aimed at promoting cycling, encouraging youth participation and creating opportunities for sports tourism in the Lowveld.

Freehub Cycling Club has been on a drive to grow the sport following its rebranding from Kusekhaya Cycling Club. The new identity aims to unite professional cyclists, recreational riders, fitness enthusiasts and aspiring young talent.

The club has adopted the slogan ‘Find Your Rhythm’, while its latest team announcement carries the message, ‘One Team. One Passion. One Ride’.

The 17 riders will be hoping to build on the momentum generated by the club’s recent hosting of the Lowveld Classic as they tackle the Alzu Tour de Farm.
