Mbabane – Local producer and musician, Livin SZ, has been featured by two prominent South African artists Black Motion and Mobi Dixon on their latest projects.

Livin SZ, based in South Africa, represented Eswatini by appearing in Black Motion’s recent music video titled ‘Monateng’, which also features DJ Buckz and Spice Drums. He is also credited as one of the musicians on Mobi Dixon’s song ‘Lokita’, released last Friday.

In an interview with this publication, Livin SZ expressed his gratitude for the recognition. “We did it. Thank you to my big brother Mobi Dixon for allowing me to share my talent and skill with him. Thank you for recognising me. I also want to thank Black Motion for having me as part of their new music video, it is so humbling to see my progress,” he stated.

It is noteworthy that this is not Livin SZ’s first collaboration with Black Motion. Earlier in July, he worked with the duo during his first studio session, where they produced a song together.

He further disclosed that he was responsible for producing Black Motion’s new project. “I produced the song ‘Monateng’ and the video was released on Saturday on YouTube. It was a double celebration for me as all the artists released their work simultaneously. Sharing my skills with them was an incredible experience,” he added.

Black Motion is a South African Afro House duo formed in Soshanguve, Gauteng, in 2010. The group comprises Roy Thabo Mabogwane and Kabelo Koma. Mobi Dixon, whose real name is Mabi Ntuli, is a South African DJ and music producer. His debut studio album ‘Tribal Soul’ (2014) achieved platinum certification from the Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA). Its lead single ‘City Rains’ debuted at number three in South Africa. Dixon’s musical journey began in school, producing beats for South African Hip Hop artists in the late 1990s.

After completing his matric, he obtained a Sound Engineering diploma at Selborne College and an Information Technology diploma at Damelin College in East London. In 2007, he established a recording label and released his Extended Play ‘Dance is Kulcha’, available on vinyl and digital platforms. The following year, Dixon won the DJU/AXE remix competition.
