IN a world where young people often find themselves choosing between education and en¬trepreneurship, Thabiso ‘Thasko’ Mkhaliphi is boldly pursuing both.  A passionate student of Creative Multimedia at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, Mkhaliphi represents a growing wave of mature, driven individuals who are determined to shape their future by mastering the balancing act of books and business.

“It is very important for me to continue studying,” he shared. “I want to get my qualifications in this field not just for the paper, but because it opens up opportunities for me to be recognised and hired in the professional world,” he added.  Mkhaliphi is not just building aca¬demic credibility, he is also the face behind a growing digital marketing and video production business. From shooting content to editing and forging new business relation¬ships, his weekends are packed with creative hustle. “It is hectic, I will not lie, but I have gotten used to the mul¬titasking, I make sure assignments are done on time, then I shift focus to my business,” shared Mkhaliphi.
His secret lies in time management and dedication.
During the week, he carefully divides his schedule to accommodate both academic and entrepreneurial commitments.
PRESSURE
Once the schoolwork is handled, he channels the rest of his energy into growing his business, which is proof that structure and passion can coexist when properly aligned. Despite the pressure, Mkhaliphi remains grounded and motivated. Mkhaliphi knows exactly what he wants: Excellent academic results and sustainable income from his creative work.
“Both are equally important to me, the marks secure my future pro¬fessionally and the business keeps me financially afloat and creatively fulfilled,” explained Mkhaliphi.
His story is a powerful reminder that maturity is not just about age but it is about responsibility, dis¬cipline and the courage to chase multiple dreams.
In him, we see the embodiment of modern resilience: A student who does not wait for opportunity but creates it frame by frame, deadline by deadline.
Mkhaliphi continues to thrive in both lecture halls and editing suites, Mkhaliphi is proving that with passion and planning, anything is possible.
As Mkhaliphi continues navigat¬ing life between university halls and creative shoots, he is not only investing in his own future, but he is aspiring a generation that is watching quietly from the sidelines. Many young people see education and entrepreneurship as conflicting goals, but through his daily grind, Mkhaliphi is showing that both can thrive when grounded in vision and consistency.
He hopes to one day expand his business into a full scale multimedia agency, mentoring aspiring crea¬tives and offspring internships to students who like him are looking to grow their skills while studying. “It is not about me but I want to create a platform where others can rise too,” shared Mkhaliphi.
Beyond the camera, Mkhaliphi is also becoming a voice in his com¬munity, advocating for youth em¬powerment, time management and the importance of blending passion with education.
His story is a reminder that suc¬cess is not a final destination, but it is a process of planting seeds daily,
