ESAMI hosts alumni networking dinner

THE Eastern and Southern African Management Institute (ESAMI) Business School last Friday night hosted an engaging Alumni Cocktail dinner at the Hilton Garden Inn, which drew together industry professionals, academics and former students of ESAMI from all over Eswatini. Held under the innovation and connection theme, the event provided a platform for networking, knowledge sharing as well as reflection on the future of work in Africa. ESAMI is looking into further infiltrating the continent to improve education. The evening started with guests arriving and registering as well as networking over cocktails and drinks. 
The MC Dr Chengetai Magunje, welcomed attendees, followed by welcome remarks by Professor Mumba, who emphasised on ESAMI’s continued commitment to nurturing leadership and management excellence across Africa, especially in Eswatini, 

 where they were looking to expand. One of the highlights of the evening was a thought-provoking presenta¬tion by Dr Adesola Olayinka, who spoke on ‘AI Unplugged: Demystify¬ing the Future of Work and Innova¬tion.’ Dr Olayinka offered an insightful exploration of artificial intelligence and its transformative potential for African economies. 
Acting Registrar, Benard Tayebwa presented on ESAMI Business School Products, outlining the school’s key programmes and developments that support the continuous professional development of managers and lead¬ers across the continent.

During refreshments, the evening progressed alumni testimonials, where distinguished alumni includ¬ing Dr Happiness Magagula, who is a Senior Lecturer at Swaziland Institute of Management and Public Administration, Senior Deputy National Commissioner Sula Dlamini and Charles Hlatshwayo shared their different journeys of growth and success inspired by their time at ESAMI, highlighting how enroll¬ing at ESAMI enriched their career growth and development. 
Thereafter a question and answer session followed, where attendees engaged and asked the speakers questions centred around their dif¬ferent presentations, which includ¬ed AI and innovation, leadership as well as how you can enrol at ESAMI and the benefits.
To end the dinner,Winile Nxumalo delivered a Vote of Thanks, appreciating the contributions of all speakers, organisers, and attendees for making the event a success. 
The ESAMI Alumni Cocktail was a celebration of progress about the future and a confirmation of the schools role in shaping visionary African leadership.
