Walking through the Swazi Plaza, I was drawn in by the rich, warm aroma of spices wafting from a familiar name, Tandoori Express. Recently reopened and already buzzing with life, this beloved restaurant has made a flavourful comeback and I was eager to experience it all over again.
Stepped into the inviting space just past noon, greeted by the friendly team and a vibrant menu that promises a fusion of Indian and Swati cuisine, all prepared under strict Halaal standards.

Director Abdullah Almamun shared how excited the team is to be back serving their customers especially the corporate crowd working in and around town. He emphasized that they’re focused on freshness, consistency, and affordability, a mission that head chef Amir Hussan takes to heart every day.

Tandoori is best known for their rich, hearty chicken and beef curries, so that’s where I started. Opted for the Chicken Curry with rice and it didn’t disappoint. The sauce was spiced to perfection. The Beef Curry, which I sampled from a colleague’s plate, was just as flavourful tender, robust and deeply satisfying.
But for those who prefer something lighter, the boiled beef or chicken dishes are excellent, especially with pap or rice.  No visit to Tandoori is complete without their signature samosas, generously filled with beef, chicken, or vegetable goodness. Whether you're looking for a quick bite between meetings or something to nibble on while waiting for your order, these are the perfect fix.

And if you're just in the mood for a snack? Their masala chips, available in different portion sizes are a spicy twist on a beloved side dish. Or go classic with their crispy fried chicken with rice or chips, available in one to four-piece portions.
Positioned to cater to professionals around Corporate Place, Swazi Plaza and surrounding offices, Tandoori Express is a reliable and convenient stop for breakfast, lunch, or an early dinner.

The restaurant opens its doors at 7am and serves right through to 6pm, perfect for early risers and the after-work crowd alike. For those on tight schedules, you can also call or WhatsApp 7978 1761 to place your order for collection. Chef Amir ensures that each meal is made fresh and ready on time.
Whether you’re craving the comforting spice of curry, the satisfying crunch of fried chicken, or their masala chips, Tandoori Express delivers a soulful blend of flavour, tradition, and convenience.
