MBABANE – The MTN Bushfire Firefly winners 2026 prices are not only an upgrade but come with life-changing opportunities for the creatives.

This year marks the 9th edition of the MTN Bushfire Firefly Youth Talent Competition. One of the festival’s flagship arts development platforms, launched in 2017 to discover and uplift emerging young artists across Eswatini. The Firefly competition is open to vocalists, singers and rappers aged 16 to 35. Firefly gives rising talent the chance to shine, with fans helping to vote their favourites into the Top 10.

During the launch of the MTN Bushfire 19th edition, the Top 10 finalists were also there and will go on to compete for a place in the Top 3 at the Firefly Grand Finale on Friday, April 24 at House On Fire.

The Top 3 winners will earn a coveted spot on the MTN Bushfire Festival stage. This is not their only amazing opportunity this year as the festival has really raised the bar higher with the introduction of more grand prizes including:

Kingdom XLR- will be capturing and packaging Visual Documentation at the Firefly Grand Finale, offering post-Firefly mentorship and one professionally recorded single each for the Top 3 winners.

Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture – will be giving the Top 10 valuable studio time at their facility and a live podcast at the Firefly Grand Finale.

Retina Photography – will be stepping in to elevate one rising star with a full professional music video! All Top 20 finalists are eligible to win this ground-breaking prize. The winner will be selected through a draw and announced at the Firefly Grand Finale.

The highlight of the night was the announcement of Limkokwing University of Creative Technology officially being on board.

This is a game-changing partnership that takes Firefly to a whole new level. They will be offering a full tuition scholarship for any Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree programme offered at the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology Eswatini Campus for the MTN Bushfire Firefly Top 3 winners.

Winners have the option to study at their sister campuses in Lesotho or Botswana. The MC further announced that this partnership will span the next four editions of MTN Bushfire Firefly.
