In a country where family comes first and dignity in death matters deeply, the Swaziland Building Society (SBS) has stepped up to offer an affordable and practical funeral insurance solution.
With many emaSwati facing rising funeral costs, the newly enhanced Litsemba Funeral Cover is designed to bring peace of mind, flexibility and broader coverage for families of all shapes and sizes.
Whether you are looking to protect your immediate family or extended relatives, Litsemba offers a simple and inclusive way to ensure your loved ones are honoured without financial strain.
This is one of the country’s most affordable and comprehensive funeral insurance plans. Simply opening any transactional and savings account with SBS gives you access to the Litsemba Funeral Cover with premiums conveniently paid via stop order.
The enhanced Litsemba Group Funeral Plan now extends beyond immediate family to include a wide range of dependents, thus reflecting the unique family dynamics in Eswatini.
SBS Sales Insurance Consultant Nokwanda Dlamini, explained: “This plan now covers extended family members such as parents, siblings, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, domestic workers and anyone dependent on the policyholder. You can add more than 10 extended family members, regardless of whether they are under or over the age of 65.”
The plan has expanded its coverage to allow up to 22 members per policy, with a maximum age limit of 85, up from the previous cap of 65 years.
