New Dawn Preschool is a Christian, English medium preschool where God is number one, with a commendable academic reputation.
The school starts from preschool up to Grade 0, located next to Kuyehlela Flats Mobeni, Corporation and caters for any children of ages three and six from all over Mbabane. The aim of New Dawn is to reveal Jesus Christ as the Lord and Saviour to the children at a young age and to prepare the children for their primary school education.
New Dawn also aims to motivate the child to learn and learn and enjoy school the whole learning process. The school strives to prepare the child holistically in order for them have tools to thrive as they progress through their schooling years and beyond by aiding the development of communication skills in the child.
While they prepare the child academically, they also pay careful attention to attend to their emotional, social, physical and creative and development, as well as their character development and critical thinking skills. Computer lessons are provided for children from ages 5-7, where the child is given basic computer skills. Aftercare is available up to 5pm at a fee. Also, transport is available around Mbabane.
Speaking to the principal of the school he said: “At New Dawn, we believe that the aim of education should be to educate learners on how to think. We believe in improving our children’s’ minds, so as to enable them to be independent thinkers.” He emphasised the importance of parents engagement in children’s education, hence the school has a parents meeting every first and last term of the school year.
