Khanyisile Pre and Primary School proudly marks a remarkable milestone in 2026, as it celebrates 30 years of shaping young minds and building strong foundations for future generations.
Founded in 1996 by veteran educators Charmaine Holmes, Miriam Pearson and Maggie Lue, Khanyisile began as a small community school with a big vision to provide quality, values driven education in a nurturing and supportive environment.
What started as a modest initiative has grown into one of the most respected pre and primary schools in the Manzini Region, serving families from diverse backgrounds and producing confident and capable learners year after year.
The founders’ passion for children’s development and their commitment to excellence laid the foundation for what Khanyisile has become today.
Under their leadership, the school has remained focused on academic and sporting achievement, character development and holistic growth. Over the past three decades, Khanyisile has continually evolved to meet the changing needs of learners and families.
The school offers a strong academic programme complemented by sports, cultural activities and modern learning initiatives. These include technology-based teaching tools and a wide range of extracurricular programmes.
From swimming and athletics to creative arts, learners are encouraged to explore their talents and develop confidence beyond the classroom.
Khanyisile’s success is driven by its team of well qualified and committed teachers, as well as dedicated ancillary staff who work tirelessly to create a safe, supportive and stimulating learning environment for every child.
As testament to its excellence, out of its 32 Grade 7 learners who wrote the 2025 EPC examinations, Khanyisile achieved 17 excellent (Merits) and 15 very good (First Class passes).
These outstanding outcomes place the school among the top achievers in the country. Furthermore, these results are especially noteworthy in the context of Khanyisile’s hybrid learning approach, which focuses not only on the local Eswatini syllabus, but also on international benchmarking standards.
Khanyisile’s ethos is rooted in strong values such as respect, discipline, integrity and compassion.
The school prides itself on maintaining a family-oriented culture where parents, staff and learners work together in partnership. This strong sense of community has been central to the school’s success and longevity.
